Individual Therapy

Anxiety

Anxiety is a part of life, but sometimes symptoms can become overwhelming and debilitating. You may experience excessive worrying, agitation, restlessness, difficulty focusing, and trouble falling/staying sleeping.

I can help uncover the root of your anxiety, address fears that hold you back, increase your ability to handle stressors, and improve your sense of self so you can live comfortably in the present.

Depression

We all experience highs and lows, but when the lows become more frequent or consistent, and you find yourself struggling to stay motivated, maintain relationships, and keep up at work, it may be time to seek support. Depression can feel like a persistent heaviness. You may experience difficulty sleeping and a shift in your appetite, and feel sad, agitated, hopeless, empty, and guilty.

Together, we will make space for your experience, explore when and how life became so difficult, and develop new ways of coping.

Relationships

Relationships are complicated. Maybe you're struggling to find the right person or trying to decide if you're in the right relationship. Regardless of where you are, understanding your wants and needs in connection with others is a good place to start.

We'll explore early relationship models and past experiences that impact how you interact with others, and work towards strengthening the parts of yourself that feel authentic and true in order to build more genuine connection in your life.

Life Transitions

Transitions are part of the human experience, whether it be a change in jobs, the ending of a meaningful relationship, the loss of someone/something special, or transitioning into parenthood. If you're feeling overwhelmed or stuck, it's always the right time to seek support.

We'll process what what this new phase means for you and what you might be leaving behind, and work on how to manage the expectations and challenges ahead.

Traumatic Experiences

Traumatic experiences can include anything from a single event to a collection of smaller experiences that have a lasting impact. The effects of trauma can leave us with a shattered sense of self, relational difficulties, and emotional distress.

I use a specialized therapy called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to address the past, improve current functioning, and build confidence about the future.

Grief & Loss

Grief is experienced with loss, whether it be of a loved one, a job, health, wealth, or a relationship. Whether unexpected or prepared, losing someone or something important is one of life's greatest wounds.

I'll hold space for you as we process the range of emotions you may be experiencing, unpack associated memories, and develop a new sense of self moving forward.
