I work with couples at all stages of relationships, from those who are considering taking the next step to those who want to re-engage and get their relationship back on track.

Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT)

EFT is a model of couple therapy that views romantic relationships as attachment bonds, similar to the ones we have with our parents and caregivers. When the attachment bond becomes threatened, the response is predictable and emotionally distressing, causing us to develop protective strategies that leave us feeling isolated and disconnected.

EFT helps partners better understand themselves and their dyanamic, creates positive shifts in interactional patterns, and increases the couple's felt sense of security in their realtionship.

What to Expect

My therapeutic process with couples begins by exploring what led you to this "stuck place" and how your previous life experiences have impact your relational distress.

We begin to track the negative cycle that drives disconnection, and using emotion, we will uncover the unmet needs driving your behaviors, find new solutions to old problems, and ultimately create an improved cycle of interaction rooted in vulnerability, transparency, and connection.
